We've got a bug problem.....

So it seems like overnight, our house went from bug free to totally consumed with bugs! Luckily the bugs we've got are SUPER sweet and adorable.
Yes there is such a thing as adorable bugs!

Ladybugs

For some reason we have a lot of them. We are talking literally 20+ in our living room, kitchen, dining room, mostly dining room. Yesterday, Julian had one on his ceiling. If anyone has any idea why our house has so many ladybugs, I would love to know!!

I don't know why, but I love ladybugs! And they eat aphids, so even better. Got any aphids?

I'm not sure. I lived in an old house after college and I always had tons of ladybugs in my bedroom. They seemed to like my sunny window. Luckily they didn't bite or poop so I was okay with it. :)

Aren't they supposed to be a sign of good luck or something? Maybe you can send em my way! :)

I found this, sounds like they are trying to move in to hibernate! Weird!

welcome to the midwest. Those are actually called Asian Beetles and look like ladybugs and are a menace around here. They invade your home for the winter in every nook and cranny. They do bite, which leave big painful welts that actually take weeks to heal, and they really stink if you try and smash them. Don't bother vaccuuming them because they can crawl out of your vacuum cleaner after you shut it off unless you get rid of the bag or empty the canister right away (outside). Best way to get them is with Tape...like you woudl get lint or hair off a sweater...get a big wad of tape and then when it is full...stick it in a zip lock baggy and throw away. but you are right...they do look cute.

Ditto what the Comfort Crew said. The look cute, they look like ladybugs, but they are not. This is the time of year they start dropping in from the windows and ceilings everywhere. Including doctor's offices! yuck.

Our house always gets them in the colder seasons! At least they don't harm anything! And yes, they mean good luck :-)
